Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Forster manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Forster practices office based oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to the diagnosis and treatment of pathological conditions of the jaws. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort.
Our staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) sedation or outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.
The surgical staff at our facility have years of experience, all of our assistants are Registered nurses, some of whom have been with the practice since we began in 1990. A board certified, medical Anesthesiologist administers your general anesthetic, should you require one. All of the front end staff are informed administrative personnel, well-versed in health and insurance policies, and are all CPR certified.
Dr. Forster is also certified in advanced cardiac life support.
